Valerie S. Androutsopoulos, Principal An International affairs graduate from George Washington University (BA 1983), Valerie studied Greece’s accession to the European Community in Brussels, which lead to graduate work in Athens, Greece. There she met and subsequently married her husband Angelos, partner in a family scrap paper business. She spent 5 years in Athens during which time she was a purchasing agent for an airplane parts importer and served as the USO representative for the Sixth Fleet. In 1988, the couple returned to Baltimore, where Valerie developed office programs for Baltimore based businesses based on education and convenience that she modeled after programs developed by Dr. Rosalie Green (then Senior Recycling Specialist, EPA and Fairfax Co., VA). |

Angelos Androutsopoulos, President Angelos, a native of Athens, Greece and computer programmer by training (NCR School of Computer Education 1981, Athens, Greece), agreed to move to America in 1988 with his wife and now business partner on the condition that they create a scrap paper business similar to the one his family owned in Greece. Working at and growing up around Golfinos Androutsopoulos and Sons, his father’s business, Angelos gained first-hand knowledge of all aspects of running a family owned company. Angelos has developed and continues to maintain valuable overseas market contacts. |

Charles Shaab, CFO Keeping it in the family, Charlie Shaab, Valerie's uncle, who had assisted as needed, officially joined the Vangel team upon retirement, as CFO in the fall of 1999. Charlie brings over 35 years of financial experience with him and is responsible for the financial management aspects of company operations. He provides leadership and coordination in the business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts for Vangel as well as the establishment and implementation of short & long range goals, policies, and procedures. Prior to joining Vangel, Charlie held such key management positions as CFO of StaffMax, Inc., CEO of Computer Service Inc., and President of Service Center, Inc. His career in finance began in 1962 with First National Bank of Maryland while attending Johns Hopkins University. Upon graduation, (BS Business, 1965) he was made Assistant Vice President. While at First National he helped play an integral role in bringing the credit card industry to Maryland. |

Sherry Trabert, Office Manager Sherry is office and customer service manager for Vangel and handles billing, logistics, and customer inquiries for the company. A master gardener, Sherry is an avid environmentalist and enjoys her role in helping Vangel grow its business. Prior to joining Vangel, she provided customer service and logistics for Recycle America and was a dispatcher and customer service manager for McAllister Marine Towing. Sherry is pursuing a degree at CCBC. |
